Account Manager

As part of our 2008 expansion program, we are seeking an experienced Sales Professional to SELL IT tech support and staffing augmentation services by building new relationships.

Daily Activities :

Must initiate high-level business conversations with decision-makers related to preferred vendor lists for IT Consulting.
Responsibilities include new client development through existing personal relations with clients.
Duties will also involve generating leads, cold calling, and securing face-to-face meetings with decision-makers.
Telecommuting from home is encouraged.
Part time is acceptable

Qualifications/Expertise/Experience/Skills:

Master of sales, navigate past gatekeepers, creating interest; develop business solutions using telephone; effective use of research tools/resources; educate/sell prospects new ideas and keep prospects engaged through multi-step sales process. Active listening skills; ability to process information; incorporate feedback to interactive business conversations; convey ideas; sell intangibles and strong closing skills. Strong ethics; PROFESSIONAL and POLISHED DEMEANOR and ability to instill trust in prospects. Self-motivated; maintain high level of focus and enthusiasm.

Location: Long Island

Job Requirements:

5+ years of selling IT Consulting Services with prior earnings of $125,000+ preferred.
Must have STRONG EXPERIENCE building solid customer base via networking and COLD-CALLING!!!

  • Prior Sales experience selling IT Consulting Services for at a MINIMUM of 6 years - "the more the better"!
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and documented experience to build business from the ground up.
  • Existing high-level relationships with numerous clients, preferably on the East Coast.
  • The ideal candidate will have, at least, 3 years of experience with a proven track record of selling Staffing and Consulting services to Banking, Wall St. and Insurance clients in NY/NJ/CT/MA.

Top Sales Award at XYZ Company?
Directly responsible for $XXX Millions of revenue generated?
Number of consultants placed over the last year? etc, etc.
You need to have prior documented success stories - will NEED to see your accomplishments in the area of building a customer base focused in IT Staffing/Consulting.

"Knock-out" factors include: choppy job history, mediocre communication skills, & sales of non- IT services projects.

BA or BS preferred

Company has a history of performance and requires candidates with same. Solid and stable career history (2-3+ years per job) is required.

Cisco Sales certifications are required or must be achieved within the first 60 days.
